Gavin Shaskolsky has been working as an executive coach and facilitator for since 2004. He holds B.Bus.Sci and LLB degrees from the University of Cape Town, is an admitted Attorney of the High court of South Africa and has a Diploma in Life and Business Coaching through the Coaching Centre. He is also is an accredited assessor for the Hay Group Intl. in Emotional Intelligence and the Benziger Thinking Styles Assessment (BTSA). Gavin’s professional focus and passion is in the accelerated development of people and organisations. He is particularly interested in creating sustainable changes in performance and leadership. Using a systemic orientation, his areas of focus are leadership development, emotional intelligence, conflict management and cultivation of mindfulness. Gavin has worked at an executive and director level, nationally and internationally in multi-national organisations; government and NGO’s including Old Mutual, BP, Woolworths, the Department of Local Government and Housing and Computer Sciences Corporation. Gavin is a member of COMENSA (Coaches and Mentors of South Africa), currently lectures in coaching, facilitates coaching supervision groups and has assisted in developing coaching programmes at the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP). Gavin has worked in the field of conflict resolution and transformation for over seven years and is an accredited mediator through the Centre for Conflict Resolution (CCR). He has been involved in volunteer mentorship programmes with Tsiba University, the Mankind project and Big Brother Big Sister SA as well as being a trustee/acting chairman for the Vipassana Association of South Africa.
